Our thoughts are with you, your family members, and your coworkers during this unprecedented time. We know that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone in some way. We hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy.
Here at ITS, we have always tried to be nimble when it comes to dealing with changing times and unexpected events. This tends to be a requirement for the technology industry. Today, we find ourselves having to be nimbler than ever.
I wanted to let you know of some changes we are making in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These changes are being put in place to ensure the health and safety of our team members and customers.
This is of course a fluid and flexible situation; as experts and governing bodies release more information and recommendations, our staffing policies may change.
Beginning on Monday, March 23rd, the ITS office will be open to the public by appointment only. Our office hours will remain the same. These office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 4:30PM. No change is being made to our on-call service. I want to assure you that we are still going to provide the same great service but will be doing some things differently behind the scenes. We are going to schedule some of our employees to work from the office and others to work from home during this time period. Fortunately, we utilize and offer products and services that make this possible.
While most service calls can be resolved remotely, we recognize that some cannot. We will have staff available for onsite assistance if necessary. To protect them and you, we have developed the following guidelines. Prior to arriving onsite, we will confirm with you that no one is currently ill, has been exposed to the virus, or is showing symptoms of the virus at your location. We will also confirm that this is the case for our technician as well. While working on your equipment, we ask that you follow Social Distancing Guidelines. Prior to working on any equipment, our service technician will wash or sanitize their hands. The technician will then wipe any equipment being touched with a disinfecting wipe. To minimize contact with customer equipment, service technicians will be bringing their own keyboard/mouse combo. Finally, when finished with the service, the technician will wipe down the equipment again and wash or sanitize his or her hands.
Our company is in a great position to implement these changes. We are fortunate that we have been using all the necessary tools to accomplish this transition for years. We recognize that some of you may also be interested in similar solutions. If you need assistance or advice when it comes to implementing these technologies, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help.
Thank you for partnering with ITS. I wish you, your coworkers, and family members the best.
Sincerely,
Joel Althoff
President, ITS
