May Day traditions and celebrations vary depending on what country you’re in. In the U.S., the common tradition is to leave May baskets filled with flowers and/or candies on the doorsteps of your friends, neighbor’s and loved ones. While this tradition is still carried out by a small number of people, the springtime activity is not celebrated nearly as much as it used to be.
With Coronavirus shutdowns these past few months, a little springtime cheer may be needed. Lucky for us, the May basket tradition to leave the basket on the doorstep, ring the bell and run away fits perfectly with the current rules of social distancing. In addition to this, the kids in your life might be looking for an activity to cure their boredom.
A print and craft May basket fits the bill for a fun activity to keep their minds and hands occupied for an hour or so. Plus your kids will have fun making something for their friends. Print multiple copies and stop at several houses on May Day.
