Cisco Meraki announced several exciting updates and product releases last week; some of our favorite features are highlighted below:
Cisco Meraki Systems Manager Updates
[start using Systems Manager here]
Sentry: Sentry allows Systems Manager to check mobile devices (iOS/Android) for a Systems Manager profile before allowing network access. It can also splash an invite to install a Systems Manager profile to gain network access.
Active Sync: With Exchange ActiveSync, you can enable provisioning of email accounts and mail settings, including encryption and stored mail history duration, on enrolled Apple iOS devices.
Selective Wipe: With selective wipe, you can choose to remove only the profile settings pushed through Systems Manager (apps, docs, etc.), but leave personal settings on the device alone.
Quarantine: Quarantine allows you to place new enrollees in a queue for individual or group approval instead of automatically allowing them to join your network once a Systems Manager profile is installed.
Enterprise App Pushing: You can now push custom-developed apps outside of an app store with Systems Manager.
Enterprise Support: Systems Manager is still free, but a 24x7x365 enterprise support plan is now available. ITS will continue to provide and offer Systems Manager support and Meraki hardware support through our Managed IT Services agreements and hardware SLAs; new and existing Cisco Meraki clients may alsopurchase the enterprise support separately through Cisco Meraki.
Please let us know if you have questions about any of these updates, want help implementing a new feature, or would like check the status of your new features rollout.
